The builder above is the same numbers with your house plugged in. This table is here so you can read them without touching anything, and so a search engine can too. All figures are installed prices.
Why is the price a range instead of one number?
Because nobody has measured your house yet. The range narrows to a single fixed price after the Manual J load calculation and the static pressure test, and that price is in writing before any work starts.
Does it cost anything to have you come out and price it?
No, the visit and the written price that comes out of it are free, and nothing gets signed on the day.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. One year of labor warranty from Novus, plus the manufacturer's warranty on the equipment itself.
What happens after I send my email?
You get the breakdown for your house by email. If it looks close, the next step is a visit to measure properly, and that is when the range becomes one fixed price. If you would rather talk it through first, call (848) 288-1133.
Why is this higher than the quote I already got?
Usually because the other number does not include measuring your house. Sizing off the old equipment costs nothing and takes ten minutes, so a company that does it can quote lower. If the old system was oversized, and most were, that mistake gets installed again and you live with it for fifteen years. Our price has the load calculation, the blower door test, the pressure testing and the commissioning in it. That is the difference, and it is the whole reason we do this.
Why can a heat pump come in under a plain air conditioner?
Because the equipment now costs us about the same, and a heat pump cools exactly like an air conditioner while also heating. For most homes here it is simply the better buy, so it is priced to be picked. Your existing furnace stays on as backup for the coldest nights.
Why is the ductwork range so wide?
Because a flex-heavy rebuild and an all-metal one are genuinely different jobs, and which one your house needs comes out of the duct design rather than out of a phone call. The bottom of that range is the flex build, the top is all metal with insulated trunk lines. It is per system, so a house with separate upstairs and downstairs units is double.
